Untitled Shape Poem by Caroline Groves

(I own it) (I love it) (I hate it) (He takes it away) (He owns it now) (I see it every now and then, but only when I see him) (I want it back) (I don’t want it back) ( I don’t want him to have it) (I want him to have it) (But I also want someone else to have it, to share it) ( I don’t want the other to have it) ( I want the other to have it) (There’s two curves at the top) (Can’t they each have one curve?) (They don’t know each other) (They can’t fight) (they live in different worlds) (It’s mine) (I want it back) (I want both curves) (But I can’t help but share) (I can take the V part, the end part) (It seems wrong to share with two people) ( I still can’t help it) (Each time it slips away from the him) ( Sometimes it breaks in half) (Sometimes it stays) (I want him to have it) (But I also want the other to have it) (I’m loving this pain) (But I hate it) (I’m conflicted) (I ask for help, but everyone is so blind) (It’s beating for both) (It beats for one) (It beats more for one than the other) (It’s killing me) (I feel it slipping away from the other) (It slips away as I start to move on) (I hate it) (I love it) (I don’t like it) (I like it)
